The Privileges of Germany
Before people decide to school to Germany, they should already know what is interesting and special education in Germany. Without knowing this and just do what they say, then It will be a disappointment later. For that before determining seek as much as information as possible, the advantages and disadvantages, good or not, how the requirements, etc..
Also an important thing in terms of finding information is not only what we believe will be only one source of our information, example of this or any of the brochures available at the DAAD or in the Embassy's own German. Because sometimes that is written therein less proportionally to the interests of prospective students.Usually there is something still hidden and have not been informed. So that when many sources of information you will get a lot of consideration and can make informed decisions. But do not be otherwise, because a lot of information is difficult to determine a decision.
Therefore, to help increase the provision of needed information, in order to determine the decision to study in Germany, can be considered some of these below:
1. Free Education :
The problem seems to tuition fees are still not many people know that in Germany, the school from elementary school (Grundschule) up to a level no charges postgraduate degree like to pay building fees, tuition, etc.. In other words, that the schools in Germany is free. Even if there are collections should be a social contribution (Sozialgebühr) where the amount is relatively small. For example : In Bremen, I just paid 230 Euro/Semester, this fee is included to purchase a semester Ticket, and I think It is not too bad and cheaper as studying in Hamburg, You must pay 500 Euro/Semester but it's not included the Semester Ticket.
Even if there is an increase of social contributions, Actually its because of changes in fuel prices which fluctuate every year, where the fluctuation tendency to rising prices.
For University and Fachhochschule in other cities have their own tariffs, although it is still relatively inexpensive.
2. Health insurance :
As long as we learn and live in Germany are required to have health insurance. This is essential if we are forced sick and went to the hospital. When the examination and stay in hospital, we do not think about how much the cost to be paid. All will be covered by health insurance that we follow or we are registered. These advantages will benefit all if we follow statutory health insurance ( gesetzliche Krankenversicherung ) For Examples : There are 2 statutory health insurance I know namely AOK and TK.

Tuition fees at German universities
Tuition fees were a big issue when it was introduced - and they still are. Again and again there are changes. Here you can find out where you have to pay as much tuition and what else there is to be observed.
Tuition fees in Germany
In early 2002, under the former SPD-Green government, the sixth amendment of the Higher Education Act adopted and passed. It states that may be levied for the first degree tuition fees.then the Federal Education Minister Edelgard Bulmahn justified this decision as follows:
"Students and their parents need a reliable framework for planning future. The federal government has expanded its family support and significantly increases the BAföG massively "
But a ruling by the Federal Constitutional Court on 26 January 2005, the tuition fees for freedom was declared null and void. In order for countries in the way of tuition fees was also paved for the first degree.
In addition, the following may also be charged fees:
- Long-time tuition fees
- Fees for second degrees
- Management fees
- Guest fees
General student fees:
Fees for each student from first semester
Long-time charges:
Fees after the attainment of a specified interval semester (for example, after a half times the period of study)
Student account:
Credit of approximately 200 weeks semester hours. Each semester there is a certain number of hours charged. Is the normal period reached, the weekly semester hours consumed and tuition fees are payable.

How to get your income tax back ( Einkommensteuerausgleich)
Before working at some companies in Germany, the Chef ( der Arbeitsgeber ) will ask for our Tax card
( Lohnsteuerkarte ).
The tax card is a document that contained data on the employer to calculate the payroll tax were used.
In Germany it was introduced in 1925 and for the calendar year 2010, most recently issued (§ 39 ITA). Workers who have their domicile or habitual residence in Germany, had to submit each of their employers with the start of each new calendar year and upon entry into the employment relationship, a wage tax card. The same applies to occupational pensions. If no tax card submitted, the employer must pay the bill without consideration of the exemptions, the tax equivalent of Class VI.
So, we must have have it as student, so that we are registered as a legal worker in Germany.
And How to get this tax card ?
It's very easy, You just need taking your Passport and your Anmeldung ( Polizeianmeldung ) and then Go to your closest Burgeramt , Take the number and join the people in line. When it is your turn , Ask politely for the Lohnsteuerkarte: ‘Ich möchte eine Lohnsteuerkarte bitte‘.
The income tax is a tax that is levied on the income of individuals. Here are special rules for domestic income and world income. Base is the taxable income. The legal basis is in the Income Tax Act (ITA). The share of income tax to the total tax revenue of the state in 2008 was 36.4% consisting of wage tax, assessed income tax, capital gains tax and solidarity surcharge.
